Those 70 CC Macs were torque monsters, but dont really have the speed of the newer stuff.
Ive run a fresh 372XP. The first gen XP before the XT stuff.
I was impressed with the chain speed, but when bucking, the 7-10 seemed to do well, as it didnt bog and lose speed as badly.
Stock, it would get outrun, but not spanked, as long as the operator didnt try to dog in hard.
What’s the ideal bar length for those saws? My 371 runs a 24” full comp 3/8 and my 461 runs a 25 full comp 3/8. I wondering if the 461 would pull a skip tooth 32” well
