That bottom section looks like it would be a hell of a good root rake.

thats what it is for get a pile of brush collected to put in a pile and you can do some digging with them for roots and rocks

the spread on my buddys grapple is 10 inches between the tines i wanted to add more tines for strength and digging points
also if you grab up a load of firewood less will fall out the bottom

i usually wear steel toe boots to gtgs
i didnt at kevins because i was having ankle problems and i am beginning to think they was caused by tennis shoes
