I was wondering the same thing. When i was on site they monitored the weather like crazy. And they suspended crane and boom lift work all the time. Unless they closed the plant today due to weather without dropping everything before the last shift ended

now look at the extra expense in removing the pieces and damage to the building

They had another crane with a bent boom there due to overloading. That was a big deal around there. Wouldn't let people anywhere near that area until they had that one on the ground

it get ridiculous at times especially when osha says 6 feet need to be tied off but plant says 4 feet
you have to use a retract because a lanyard has too much give
and they suck because they are a constant pull and makes your nuts uncomfortable

Been there. We had to harness up just to move the JLG because we "could" go above 6ft.
