All who are interested:
I have had several requests for a piston picture. So I pulled the muffler and this is what I found.

Now while not bad and it would probably sand out I won't sell it for a reduced value because of the piston. Also I am trying to sell this at zero profit so I need to figure out what my plans are.
Thanks for your interest I will keep this updated.
Randy I'm not at all worried about it, and in all honesty have zero hard feelings. I never would have known either except I kept getting asked for piston pics. The saw has great compression and runs great. The bottom half of the piston looks great.I knew nothing about the saw except that it had been on my shelf gathering dust for years.
I'd be glad to buy it back, and pay shipping if you want.

If I were to keep the saw I'd just run it as is but since I went through pulling the muffler and snapping some pictures I figured I'd share them. All in all its a very nice 26 year old saw. Its really amazing that some of theses saws are 25-30+ years old and still in great condition.
The first piston picture just looks like minor carbon streaking to me - I don't think it's any kind of any issue.
For the new members I'll break this down.If it wasn’t for the lack of play money this time around...bought another Weatherby Vanguard S2 in .257 Weatherby Magnum, and my college daughter on me like a pack mule, that saw would’ve found residence here in mid-Ga over a week ago. My minty 262XP needs a twin and this certainly fits the bill.
For all you folks interested, if this saw doesn’t sell by the 30th, it’s coming to mid-Ga...hell or high water. If I can gets my $1200 stimulants duckies from Uncle Sugar, it’s gonna happen before the 30th.
And if I end up with it and it don’t perform, I’m gonna Marine-like slip in the back forty in Tn, and I’m coming for Monkey like a bug in heat. All I gots to do is avoid them damn bulls...and I ain’t quite sure how that’s gonna happen dropping in, in the middle of the night with a case of cold beer iced down in me backpack. Improvise, adapt, overcome might be an understatement with this intelligent Monkey...and them damn bulls.
Lmao...For the new members I'll break this down.

If he receives a stimulus check

Yep, looks like what happens when guys keep taking the mufflers off and on .The first piston picture just looks like minor carbon streaking to me - I don't think it's any kind of any issue.
Those are too shinyDealing with @Johnmn is as straight forward as it gets when it comes to a saw...good guy to do business with. My minty 262XP in the background came from him. I’d a jumped all over this one over a week ago via PM and it would’ve never made the For Sale Ad if my coins were right. The logistics of getting my college graduate daughter and her belongings back home superseded and kinda crimped me play funds.
