Can ya help a brother out?...will ya take monthly financing? Please, pretty please...with sugar, pie, bacon, cows, pigs, goats, whatever on top! :)

I wish I could afford to do that. I really don't want to sell this saw at all.

I'm planning on using the money to fix up a '99 Ford Ranger for my lovely wife. She's been wanting a little truck ever since we met. I've gotten two over the years, and both times I turned them into drag racers. This time I plan to just leave it all stock.....

What is this equivalent to from Husky? 390xp?

Yes. It shares the same case, tank, crank, top end, muffler, carb, etc......

The top cover, handlebar, brake handle, and a few small parts are different. I like the 2188 better because of the lower profile. I'm not a fan of any high top Huskys really.

I hear ya brother. Wish I had the spare jingle, damn nice saw. One of my BIL's has a 2188...baddest saw I've ever run. It fears no tree!

How can you not love the 395xp? Is the MS661 really a better option?

Dear sir.....

You misunderstand my meaning.

Or........I may have said that wrong.

What I mean is that I do not care for the high top cover. I'd rather have a low top in every case.

Take a 395XP. It looks huge with the high top cover. Use a low top cover from a 394 and it appears much smaller.

You are asking me is the MS661 better than the 395XP?

The 395XPs that I build are faster in big wood than any saw I can build except for a 3120XP.

Will the MS661 last as long as a 395XP? I really don't think so. The 395 is a time tested, nearly bulletproof design.

Love the 395XP? Use plenty of Loctite and hang on. :)
