I have a nice, running, Stihl 031 AV electronic for sale. Has good compression. Idles and revs well. Very clean, with nice paint and no missing pieces. Asking $200 shipped or trade for vintage Pioneer/Poulan stuff (p-38 through pp655).

Just ran this thing in some wood over the weekend. I installed a rim drive clutch drum on it and a new sprocket. Runs and idles well, and seems to rev quick at the snap of the throttle. Very impressive, and compression is great. Still asking $200 shipped

I got a pair that cuinrearview was selling for parts. One of them didn't take much to get running. I still had some wood piles laying around, so I pulled it out to cut the small stuff. I wound up sticking with it, and burying the 18" bar in some red oak that needed bucking.

I was pretty impressed with it. I think it will be my go to small saw for a while.

They are comfortable saws to work with. Used the 032 s and a lot and an 031 or 2 in the 80s and 90s. I liked an 20 inch bar for all round use. Plenty of parts other then oem ignition and air filters and box covers i don't think are plentiful, I have most else.
