Nope none at all besides maybe testing at the factory to make sure it was built correctly.

No. Currently a 462 on the shelf is about $1600+tax. I figured $1200 is about 25% off and no tax--seems fair to me for a brand new saw.

I'm on the fence. If those healthcare subsidies had been extended they would have saved me almost exactly $1200, but I have to give that money to an HMO that will probably find a way to deny coverage if I really need it.

The saw is sold now. It sold quickly because the price was very fair. It is a mute point now but I am lost at why you tried to tell him what his item was worth. He priced it very reasonably.

You clearly misread what I wrote and applied your own meaning/bias. I was interested because I thought and still do think that $1200 including shipping is a fair price. "Disparaging his thread"? Are you serious? I keep dipping into my "new shed" fund and buying chainsaws instead, which is certainly money well spent, but I need a new shed/workshop and due to a power surge from our lovely local utility company I have almost $2k in damaged appliances and dead electronics. So no, I couldn't justify spending that $1200 on another saw right now even if it was a good deal. Somebody else got a great saw at a great price so I don't see how anything went sideways here.

I am amazed that you found a way to read something negative out of what I wrote. If anything I thought that by writing that the price was fair and at least 25% less than I could get it for locally it might discourage someone from *b-wording about the price. Mr G. I don't know why you chose to take issue with someone who did not disparage anyone or anything in this thread. All I can see is that you went out of your way to disparage me.

You didn't do anything wrong. Bill is a little sensitive in regard to people posting about prices in for sale threads since so many of his own sale threads have been run off the rails. All is well. I'm going to lock this - Matt can start a new thread when he gets more saws in.
