My almost 40yo belt has finally given out, with some help of the puppy. Yeah, she chewed it pretty bad and the double leather stitching was letting the leather's tips flap about and has gaps in the middle. Basically, it's really sad even after I applied some glue and some stitching. I am still wearing it with my limited repairs, but I'm ready for a new belt(s).

There is just something about an extra heavy-duty belt (like they last almost 40 years especially in a dog friendly home).

Cheap belts are more expensive than good ones. I've had good luck with Saddleback leather belts, I have one that's 5 years old and aside from breaking in, looks new. I've also had oddly good luck with a nylon 5.11 belt I bought 15 years ago now. It has a plastic buckle, I bought it for extensive travel since I didn't need to take it off going through metal detectors and it's become a nice daily user, works well for lighter to moderate carry as well. A 642 carried appendix with the 5.11 setup feels like nothing.

I have had good luck with the Tucker line of belts and holsters and they were willing to make my belts with 3/4" hole spacing rather the customary 1" spacing.

The nylon 5.11 tactical belts have worked good as well, I even use one on my chainsaw pants to hold my wedge pouch.
