I thought I saw a grommet available that plugs the primer bulb cut out on a 346NE top cover. I removed the primer bulb and want to plug that open area.

Anyone know if that is available??

Thanks

Pete

Dunno, if you have to get a top cover it's only one who count, the good old OE. Love that XP logo!!!

I don't think the spare covers come with that logo, and few of the OE saws did - basically just those made in 2007, before the NE took over at the production chain (week 19, as I recall it). Maybe some 2006 saws have it as well - my memory isn't always perfect....

How about an electrical panel knockout plug. They come in steel or plastic. The steel plug locking tabs can be bent to make a tight fit. Looks like a standard 1" plug would fit nicely. Spray paint with the color of your choice. $1.50 (+ -) per plug. Just a thought.

Many knock out plugs go up to, at least, 1.5" , maybe more, possibly enough to cover the oblong hole. If it was me I would just install the purge bulb and not attach it to the fuel line, or buy a 346 OE cover. Just a suggestion.

The steel plugs are also pretty easy to bend into a concave or convex shape. A thin rubber washer seems to seal them quite well
