As some know I picked up a McCulloch 39 for $20 the other day. I cleaned the fuel tank and tested for spark so in today’s 40 degree weather I went to see if the old girl would run under her own power. It idles but dies. Longest idle time was 8 seconds. I could’ve done a better job cleaning the fuel tank although I did get the great majority. I never had to give the saw a drink, it started on its own 6th pull. The throttle trigger feels sticky and doesn’t have tons of movement. It wouldn’t throttle up at all.
