Murray engine stop cable assembly

I have a 21 year old 20" murray push mower that starts and runs fine. the engine stop cable assembly came off the handle and I can't figure out how to get it back on. the parts diagram didn't help. Help please!

I'd start by removing the bail from the handle. That would make it easier to reconnect the cable end to the bail.

Bail isn't attached. somehow the cable and the release handle go inside the bail but I can't figure out how.

This guy, upon seeing the overpriced piss poor quality crap that is a new mower nowadays. Next year will be season 35 for my Murray btw.

Actually - i'd like to edit my austin power response - instead of replacing the mower... being a "safety cable" I believe the proper fix is to remove it.
