Yep, not in my area of Va.

28” will cover most everything I do. Heck 20” will if I had any skill but I’m a hack at best. So with the 20”/24”/28” lightweight bars I have, if I can’t get it done I probably shouldn’t be doing it.

Before I found this awesome site and got a CAD addiction I heated my home 6-8 full cords a year with a 60cc saw and a 20/24 in bar. Stock saw as well, ugh who does that. Lol

I had only my 044 for almost 20 years, but it is so nice to have more than one saw … you pinch a bar, cut it out with #2, hit a nail or rock, etc., just grab the other saw and keep going.

I would do one with 20" and one with 28" an be done with it. Switching bars is a PITA anyway!

Ah watching me switch bars with an outboard clutch is like watching a monkey with a football.

I want to run the snot out of my 462, like I did with my Farm Boss and my 362c. The 362 went to a well known member here and was ported by some guy with bananas (MM himself) and the guy loves it now, it’s his go too.

I’m thinking of doing the same with the 462. MM or TM ported and use the heck out of her.

I’m bringing back the 1 saw plan cause I’m not the brightest. Your welcome, haha.

I like Mtronic or auto tune saws. I always run a real saw way too fat so I never get the most out of it, that and I loose everything including stupid little screw drivers.

I’m not 25 anymore and the bigger is always better “unless it’s your cell mate” mindset has lost its appeal.

I’ll rock a 462 with my lightweight 24” bar instead. But to each there own.

Looks goofy but the balance is spot on.

Just start fixin some saws for other people. That way, when the wife bursts into the Garage, and there are 21 saws on the floor (one being in for repair), and the wife exclaims "Are these all your saws???" You just look back at her and say NNNOOOOOO!!!!

And as long as you sell a few now and then, and she sees some money come in, all is OK!!!

It is how you do the hobby w/o house money!
