The 461 is going nowere, at least here in the nw. Spoke to high up's in stihl r&d team and the 461 has too good of following to seize production. Too many pro guys just wont switch to FI or m tronic. The 362 non cm and 261 non cm will be around for a few more years also. Eastern dealers might have a different story. Just like when i was a husqvarna dealer, they brought out the 372xpw for pnw exclusive. And the ms440 had a late re release here also

461 is already dead. For people still not believing in M tronic, even the better 3rd generation there’s an adjustable carbed 462.

362: game over also the ms400cm coming

I was just funnin ya W. Really no need for that many different saws so close together from any manufacturer.
They should all trim down the models and sizes and build'em 100% problem free!
Fewer saw sizes, and build'em right.

I have never used one but I didn’t like the looks of the all plastic head on it. Looks cheaply built compared to the 131.
The shafts are better and stronger. It uses a longer bar and a smaller chain, it cuts faster but the chain flys off in brush. The plastic head is to save a little weight which is slightly noticeable. The new style lock that holds it extended gets dirt in it and jams up also. I mean it really holds but still jams.

Yeh, on the uk stihl webby page no ms461, however the rescue 461 is on there, it’s on a different page to the screen shot I took. 362 is there but we will see if that changes.

Jeff actually there’s an absolute need at least for 2019.

Stihl is trolling Husqvarna which is left with a 70cc saw as a flagship (572) and therefore Stihl presenting saws at 60-66-70-80cc so Husky can go crazy!!! Who would ever believe Husqvarna doesn’t have a big enough saw for the realwoods production professionals :flamethrower2::jaja-no:? You can troll Husky owners for decades with that. :aplastao:

I believe Asplundh does contract with Hooskie.

I believe that if a question for ordering really strong Husky saws existed (whos that fool) the Husqvarna representatives would forward the interested parties to Air Force for “napalm” bombs!!! Lol

Husqvarna is a tragedy, a left over with the worst 5 series saws ever in existence

Every time I think about buying a 461 I realize I already have an 064 and the feeling of missing something subsides. Only question I have is how long are parts for the 064 going to be available?
