MS 270 Blues!!

Just got the 270 back from having crankshaft replaced.
Started up at the shop on 3rd pull, today I filled it up with ethanol free fuel & topped off the oil and it started on 6th pull!
Idles ok, and runs great when halfway to full throttle is engaged, ease up off the throttle and it bogs and then cuts off.
Starts back up on 3-4 pulls...and then repeats the same thing!
Runs great in the cut...
I haven't gone through fuel line, fuel filter, or tinkered with the carb, yet...

Any ideas?

Sounds like an air leak or the carb is way out of whack.

Agreed. Just because it’s a clam doesn’t mean it’s not a good saw. Low side definitely sounds like it’s too lean. I would imagine the OP is getting a bog before it will spin up to half throttle. Baw baw baw braaap kinda thing.

1 oz & a mix of white and chartreuse would be awesome.

Richen up your low speed jet about a half turn and see if it improves. If it does you’ll need to adjust the idle stop after tuning the low speed
