Ive not used that one but I do have several other of their products. Never had an issue with any of them.

The store I used to work at sold a lot of Mr. Heater products, they never stayed on the shelves long. Cold snaps were great for sales. I can't remember anything being returned.
Only time I had issue with one was when not using one of the recommended fuel filters.

I use a portable buddy heater with an adapter hose to hook to larger tanks. Only problem I ever had with it is from oil gathering in one of the tubes, but that was an easy take apart and clean. Happens from using the hoses instead of direct attach, no fault of the heater.

I've got a Big Buddy stored in the house for emergency. It's rated up to 18k BTU's, guess I'll get the hose kit for #20 pounders and move it to the shop. @20x20, that big tank top model may just be too large.

That's what we've got. Big Buddy on a long hose and 20 lb tank. It keeps about 400 sq ft 65 or so when the power is out, 20 degrees.

Actually, ours is the Portable, not the big.

I’ve never had that issue. We use them camping and hunting in a blind with the tank outside. I’ll keep an eye on mine. How/what made you notice it had a problem?

I also have a two burner tank top version that works great in the garage. You can run one or both burners on a few settings. I have it on a 100lb tank strapped to a cheap dolly. I move it where I need the heat. Once the garage is warm, I turn it down some. It still goes through the propane, but works great.

I used the adapter hose without filter on a 20lb tank because I was being cheap :bash: with a standard Mr Buddy heater, I think the oils and crude got all the way up into the panels and plugged the orifices as I did try and clean/blow out the lines to no avail. My fix was a new Mr Buddy heater and a filter for the adapter which has now for worked for 10 plus years.

The one downside I found for use in my camper van is the propane Mr Buddy creates alot of moisture/condensation water running down the inside of the windows which is the reason I switched to one of the cheap $100ish diesel fired heaters which I have now been using for the last several years.

I use a Vevor heater in my tent because of condensation. Great little heaters.

Just wouldn't stay lit and the pilot was weak when it did. I guess they make filters for them, but its not too big of deal to take them apart and clean.

I see quite a few of the overlander types with roof top tents making or buy the plastic tool box type versions of Vevor as all they have to do is run the heater hose inside the tent and everything else stays outside, I like my vans permanent mount other than my diesel tank inside the van which makes spilt diesel rather stinky at times. 🥴
