Mower Deck Shell bare

Anybody know or remember the stamping company making the mower decks? In my wayback machine memory, I remember Several Surplus guys that bought truckloads of mower shells about every 4-5 years. All of those guys are now closed and places like Ebay are selling shells for complete deck prices.
Or perhaps another Surplus dealer that hasn't retired or let the kids bankrupt it?

70's,80's and 90's Majority were MTD's or the other stamped, sometimes Toro's, Lawn Boy's, even saw a few fabricated commercial decks for 3pt or belly mount/outfront. Literally hundreds each place.
I really miss the good ole Surplus stores! Crates and barrels of wheels, pulleys, even belts,chains, hydraulics,electrics. Pretty much all the generic parts necessary to keep the farm running. Even machine shop surplus parts equipment or overbuilt orders.
