Were you able to hook up to the MDG service module to measure the duty cycle of the injector after the modifications?
What was his reason for asking you not to plug them up after porting?
395 is probably the best milling saw under 100cc’s other than maybe an older flattop 066 with a modified oiler and maxflo filter. Good filter, adjustable carb, good oiler, good power, outboard clutch, good durability and the same 6203 bearing and separate seal on both sides. Milling is probably the hardest task to ask of a chainsaw and the 395 is setup pretty good as is in stock form for it compared to most new saws. I would recommend a muffler mod in the least though to help it run cooler. Heat is the enemy. They aren’t a obnoxious saw if the outlets are kept reasonable and hearing protection is worn. How would a 500i perform for milling duty? Looks very powerful and fuel efficient. I hate to say it, but I feel like I should have shopped around a little more for my mill saw instead of jumping at a new 395xp with $400 taken off the price tag.
