I asked him a question about a saw he was selling, and he started *b-wording about the saw in my signature. The guy is just an old grumpy *a-hole.

This is why I am thankful for OPE, guys over here treat each other better, I just ignore rude people, I dnt respond to their PM's and I look past their posts.

The number one rule here at OPE is to try your level best to treat each other with respect. If we follow that single rule, everything else sorta works itself out.

So this would be comparable to a 460 displacement wise?

Was looking for a big saw, but cad... I have an 044, but it could be back up.

Also is this saw basically a husky or is that jonsred? Or both? I'm a newb to anything other than starting and running a saw.

This saw is a Dolmar. High quality German brand.

The Dolly is the other German saw: think Stihl build quality with Husky handling.

The 7900/7910 is a very good saw.

Clinton is a Straight Up Dude also.

The fact that this Saw has already been to Moobsy's @ this price is a Great buy.

The only reason it is still here is that this time of year is tight for saw sales.

This is a $1000 Saw at the right time of year.

The Sticker cost $300, & I'm sure a new Dolly 7910 is ballpark $850.

If it's already running, why would you need to start it?

Haha touché...

I just mean, I run a saw to cut some wood for family. Take it to the stihl dealer if it needed adjusted/maintenance... now I have my own acerage and have trees to fell and firewood to pile up, and would like to mill some timbers... I just recently started diving into saw technicalities...

I thought I read Husqvarna bought either jonsered or dolmar, and now which ever one it was, those saws are basically huskys. I read a lot and it's hard to keep straight sometimes.

I've never run a husky, but I have distant family that has a lumber company and swears by them. But everyone I know runs stihl.
