It's been quite a while. I think I picked it up off a guy on ebay. He wasn't very informative about what was done. Great running saw. Don't think I have any info about buyer but I'll check today. Might have a sellers name that will ring a bell for you.
Don't know how you remember all these saws. It's amazing given how many different saws you work on throughout the year. I've got some for you to work on come May. Looking to see if I got something to send now for the porting auction that ends tomorrow. Might have something laying around that could use a trip to Tennessee.
That might even be a saw I sold on AS. I had a pile of parts.....and mixed and matched several together. I know you well enough to know you wouldn't do anything that ain't straight up.
There were a few guys asking me about that having a decomp....so I figured I needed to post up.
I do not come over to this site much, but the saw is awesome. I have a light Stihl 28" bar on it and it puts my dual port muffler MS 660 to shame. I have to chain it up in the shop or it runs off and molests
all the other saws!!!! Great seller also, fast shipment, great packaging.
OK this is weird! Looking on youtube. MM ported 064 with an 066 cylinder video. In the pics above, there is a lot of paint missing on the front of the case, below the muffler. In the video that saw is missing paint in the same area. Maybe it is wishful thinking on my part, but it looks like the same saw and it has the decomp. button cut through the 064 cylinder cover. Randy, does this jog any memories on this build or the history of this saw? Thanks everyone, this is fun.
