I got the joke. I was just adding that it was a good idea. I was just saying they will rust.

I haven't hand filed in probably 3 years, but I had to test mine out and I couldn't be happier. It's nice to have the option and not always have to put a chain on the saw to be able to hand filed. I always build up 3, or 4, dull chains before sharpening, regardless of method. So, having to swap them onto a saw was always a pain. Your vise is a way nicer method, and easier for me. Not a bad way to spend $130 bucks.
