For sale Mcculloch 797
I have for this Mcculloch 797. I have had it since late summer and unfortunately have to sell off some saws and parts and this is on the list. I have started it twice after looking over the exhaust port for any severe buildup.
I set it rich on the carburetor which you can see on the piston and hear in the video just to be safe. It will need tuning.
The only issues I can see are that it is missing the carburetor adjust plug/cover for the air box, and the fuel tank top has a crack that was repaired at one time. I will include a NOS tank top, NOS tank top hardware bolts, and the carburetor adjustment plug with rivet and washer as replacement parts.
I did measure the bore with a gauge and it is standard, and has not been bored over. I do not have a compression gauge to do a compression test, but it does have good compression in my opinion.
The 36" Oregon bar in the photos as well as the Oregon chain are included in the sale.
Potential buyers are more than welcome to pick it up near Green Bay, Wisconsin or I am willing to ship it for the actual cost of shipping. I have sent saws and bars to the East and West coast using pirate ship for what I would co sider as reaspnable rates. Please send a message if you have any questions. Thank you for reading.
