Haha it'll wear a 20" and 8 pin so I'm sure it will lol My 2166 covers my 25"-28" but ill keep that in mind.

I agree 100% with the mods you are planning, but I like a 7 pin rim, even on my ported 046/460s. Then again, I can be a bit heavy handed. That said, one of my 044s is wearing a 28".

With those mods, I think it will be your favorite all around saw!

Gosh, if I knew Randy was giving away the store, I would have made the trip!!!

Well they weren't given away. The 250's were. I agree that it'll be my favorite all around saw, I have no doubt. The weight is nice and it should have good power.

They also seem to like HD-2 filters, and I go 20/1000 off the key for timing. Seems to work very well. (Stole that 20/1000 amount from Randy's build thread of the 461).
.020 seems to work well on many stihls Ive done. (MS250, 192, 026) seems like the magic number
