First time I've seen a 261 jug Randy, Thanks!!!

Isn't it unusual for Stihl to have four separate lower transfer ports?

Also, you don't gut the stratos on these like you do the 241s, or am I wrong on that?

Hard to beat these T-II MS261's in 50cc class, quality saws. My OE really responded to gutting the strato, is this part of the MM recipe? Fanks 4 sharing this stuff with us.

The piece of aluminum has a small hole drilled in it. The live center is in that hole. This allows the top of the jug to move when I bump it around while indicating the mandrel. Once all runout is eliminated, I tighten the tailstock a bit more, then cut the base.

The 261, 362, and 441 are all similar.

I've done it both ways.....I would rather not gut them.
