Hmm, This or a new 661?!
I would definitely take a practically new 461 ported by a solid builder over a 661. The 461 will probably out live it and cheaper to own operate and maintenance. No computer *s-word. I had a 660 and don’t miss it at all with the 461 and it will pull a 32 full comp chain good. I normally keep a 24 tsumura light on it. The saws I run are a ms200, 2149 with 346pc, 261, 361, 462, 461. My 2 favorite to use are the 2149/53 and the 461. I do like the 462 but it don’t balance well with over a 20. 461 is bullet proof.

Agreed on that! I've run every series of 046 mag, ms 460 and 461. Been a go to for me for so many years. I've cut some big trees, bullettproof is right.

Never been started since it left the factory. Went and ordered it when I heard they discontinued them. All the saws I have in rotation are old 0 series stihls, and my 046 is an arctic model.

My 461 is from may 2020. They are supposed to make them in limited small batches since 2019. My local dealer has a new one on the shelf. You can’t go wrong with the older design
