As per the title, last week I took out my EA4300 for some firewood cutting while camping and I noticed between cuts the saw was carrying on and surging/speeding up at idle. In the cut at WOT rpm was consistent and how it has behaved in the past. I stopped, cracked the fuel tank cap and no more issue. What/where should I be looking to sort this out ? Saw itself hasnt done much work, I would say less than 15 full tanks through it.

So once you opened the fuel cap and ran it, it ran fine?
Was the saw exposed to a large, fast temperature swing? Like Ike sitting in the A/C in the car to out in the sun? That will cause excess tank pressure.

Yes the saw is rpm limited. Temp was consistent for the day, but I did go from near sealevel, to 4500ft then back down to 2600ft where I was running the saw. Used it again today without issue, but only clearing brush, no sustained cuts.
