SELLING Makita 6421

Hey all, I got super lucky and was able to snag a very nice Solo 681 so I am looking to sell my 6421.

It's not a shelf queen but cleans up pretty well. Internals are all stock original. I split the muffler and removed the catalytic converter and gave it a second outlet. It has the maroon coil. I do believe it was a Home Depot rental saw originally, it has some numbers etched into it. It was also a gray top originally and I plugged the decomp and put black top covers on it. Original gray covers come with it as well as the original felt air filter. I also bought a 54mm bid bore p&c from HL Supply. And bought a used 47mm factory p&c to attempt some porting but never got around to it. All of that is included.

I don't really know how to value it with everything included but I think $400 plus shipping seems pretty fair. If a bar and chain is needed I can send a 20" or 24" for a bit extra. Let me know if you have any questions.

They run pretty good for the displacement.

I believe only the 64cc have the open transfers. The 73cc and 79cc have normal transfer tunnels.

Yes i was surprised how well this ran for only being 64cc. It had no trouble pulling 28" bar and chain through mulberry!

This is really a great deal on all that stuff. It’s in better shape than the one in my collection and I’d love it, only then I’d have one to get rid of or give away. I can send it TTT though..
