In this case it's the flipside of that coin, scarcity of the item, that is driving price.

I think because when they were still being made only the hardcore log cutters were buying them. Brand new they weren’t cheap either. I know a guy who sold his pro sharp for $2500 and bought a Ziegelmeyer for $1700.
For a nice condition one $2500 isn’t a bad price. Personally I’d love to have an sdm-4
