Sondre said something about not being able to get "paprika potato chips" in the US.
I don't know how many packs he ate while he was visiting.

I didn't realize You guys can't get decent "paprika" as a spice.

Paprika, both sweet & hot, is the main spice in most Croatian dishes.

Maybe not at the chain supermarkets, but at the specialty spice stores.

We can buy a number of specialty potato chips, at Asian food stores: all types of fish flavors that are imported. I recall the Lay’s potato chip guy shaking his head once when I asked about them.

He stocked the local grocery stores with the US made potato chips, but said that he had nothing to do with the imported ones.

I grew Paprika peppers in the garden this year for the first time. They weren't drying out well, so I ran them through the dehydrator. I have yet to grind them but I will in the near future.

Yup, I miss the erös (strong/hot) and édes (sweet) from my time in Hungary. The hot stuff here tastes more like the sweet stuff there, just without much flavor.

For the most part here, it is just sprinkled on top of stuff mostly for looks which is a shame.

With Phase 2 of the museum project moving along, it was time to move the test log along so today we cut it up into more manageable pieces, split it, and hauled it home.

The process did generate some chips...

The 797 did a fine job until I touched the concrete with the moving chain.

Probably more of it used on deviled eggs during the holiday seasons than anything else.

Note to self:
A chainsaw is NOT a concrete saw!;)

Pull out, roll, finish the cut - wedge if necessary.

Is that a small banana, or a big banana? The relative size of the banana is not great for scale. I want answers.
Depends on where You put it.... 🤣

I wanted to use a washing machine for scale, didn't have one at hand though.

Those are A5 paper pieces, in landscape.
Meaning the banana is the width of A4 size paper (210mm) long. 🙂
