Hi, New guy here.
I picked up a rough running 820 as a sort of learning saw. I have, other than this, no experience with saw repair. I bought a couple tools and took it apart. piston worn, cylinder seemed to clean up ok. Got a lil red barn piston and put it in. ran a tad better but rough still. Got a pressure tester and no reading at all. I can hear it whistling behind the oil pump. So it seems to need at least the bearing seal behind the pump.
Long story short-does anybody know where to get seals for this saw?
I did not realize how hard it seems to get parts for this thing.

Seals are pretty easy to come by. I believe they use the same seal as the Husqvarna 288/394 - I can verify tonight.

How about the o rings behind the oiler? One around the bearing area, two at the bar oil pump end. Anything special about those? I was just going to rummage at the hardware store for something close, maybe nip the end of a fuel line for the oiler ones.

I think they're just oil-resistant Butyl or Buna rubber, but I don't know that for sure. I think I've been using Viton o-rings for most of those applications.

Viton is great, Buna (nitrile) is good (OEM), butyl gets hard and cracks fair quickly for the "O" rings.

Not yet, I got a busy on a project for my neighbor. It might be this weekend before I can take a look.

The Jonsereds PN is 504-14-62-00 That is a metric seal size 15X30X6mm. That size id not easy to find.

15 X 30 X 7mm works great and is readily available.

Same seal both sides.

I don't think any of the Huskys use that seal unless it's some early models.
