Jonsered 2166 questions

I had to run to tractor supply today and pick up a few things. While I was there I decided to look at a 2166. Upon picking it up I noticed the top handle is plastic and so is the clutch cover. Is this for just tsc 2166's or are they all like this? Also does that mean the 365 husky followed suit?

As far as I know the handle bar is aluminum and painted black.

This one they just got in last month so it's a 2016 model. I'm 99% sure it's plastic. It doesn't have a rubber outer sleeve like the aluminum ones. The clutch cover is def plastic. Maybe it's just for tsc jred

I would have to agree with the OP the tsc Jonsered doesn't feel the same I looked at a 2166 at tsc and asked them what the ulticor sticker meant and they didn't know so I felt no need to buy from them.

Did u look at any 2166's from the dealer. I haven't seen a jred dealer since around since tsc started selling them

I haven't looked at any jonsereds at the dealer since then. I'll have to call my dealer and make sure they are still in business.

I will be buying a shindaiwa if they quit selling Jonsered. They are a great dealer to say the least.

Ulticor is on all their starters.

Local dealer stopped carrying Jonsered when TSC started selling them. He pushed Echo,but has since returned to selling Jonsered.
