Do you need that long of bar? Long bars are not cheap. @cuinrearview what is your thought?
Why the grease gunThats for sure an ice saw. If thats all it was used for it probably doesnt actually have much run time on it.
This is just a guess , but grease holds up better versus water when cutting through 2ft of ice and I'm sure spraying bar oil in the water in frown on.
You are spot on! My local dealer sells out of 395's this time of year because of people buying saws for Sturgeon spearing...even sells the grease kit for them. This is just a guess , but grease holds up better versus water when cutting through 2ft of ice and I'm sure spraying bar oil in the water in frown on.
As the seller you will also be held accountable for your income as well. Anything over $600 for the YEAR paid to you as goods and services through each of the third party processors (paypal, venmo, cash app, etc.) and you a get 1099k. You will be held accountable for the Gross dollar amount as taxable income. It's value is what someone is willing to pay for it. What the seller and buyer agree on. You want the
true value put it on ebay. Then you have to pay fees and warranty it.
I'm interested if the price is right.

For example, say the saw sells for $650 plus $45 for shipping you will receive a 1099k for $695. You will have to keep a record of the expenses you incurred. Your net proceeds from ebay will be around $604.65. It usually runs around 13%ish for the ad, final value fee and paypals cut.
This is how I understand it based on the research I have done. If I'm mistaken please, please correct me. If all of this is correct, everyone that occasionally sells on ebay, and is unaware of the new tax law could be in for a big surprise come next January. That being said if someone has accurate and detailed info on the subject maybe we could make it a sticky so it doesn't get lost in a thread. Thanks Rich
