good running saw that is a match to the 2083 I am selling. Good Power, good antivibe good air filtration. Good bar and almost new chain. 16".325.
Only thing I know to be wrong is a missing muffler screw but it is redundant and gets by fine without it.
$275 Obo

I run 3/8 .058 full comp on an 18" Tsumura. It's a hoot and a half! I left it with @Chainsaw Jim for some special attention. ;)

I gotta tell you, if I wasn't already spending all my chainsaw money having Jim port my quiver, I'd be on this like stink on a monkey.

A good running 2051 is about as nice a firewood/camp saw as anyone could ask for. Good torque, light weight, and fast fast fast.

Someone needs to buy this before I get myself into trouble....

I think there was a heavy partner influence involved in the design of this saw and clearly a number of Jonsered features.

Rumor has it that the "closest" relative this saw has is the Partner 5000 Plus. Though there is video footage of my 2051 spanking a P5000+ in a timber....

There are a couple of individual parts that cross over (seals, etc) to Husqy, but the powerplant is straight up JonnySaw Skunkworks.

@SawTroll could likely expand on this....

The 2051 was an as "pure" Jonsered design as they could be at the time (1986/87), and there are no "corresponding" Husky or Partner models. It has something as unusual as a horizontally split metal crankcase.

Production may have started at the Partner factory, but most of it no doubt took place at the Husky factory (saw production on the Jonsereds factory had been terminated in 1979).

Cool Saw Bump ...

I had a 2051 and it was a great saw I kind of miss it.
Spent my saw money for now or it would be in IL

The handle and AV system clearly is Partner influenced, but I believe everything else were true Jonsered.

Btw, as far as I know the 2051 was the first saw model with Air Injection (called Turbo by Jonsered) to hit the market - about 2 1/2 years before the 262xp.

didn't the air injection/turbo come from Partner on the 7700?
