Is this a legit JD variant of the Echo 302?

Hey folks. I got this in JD 30 chainsaw in the mail today along with 2x of the same saw as Echos. To my dismay, it appears the JD one may just be painted and stickered by some random person in the past. Looks like there’s orange paint under the yellow. I’ll also show the serial number. If anyone has any knowledge to offer on whether or not this is a legit saw made for JD by Echo or just an Echo Kioritz that someone ruined, I’d appreciate it.

All the 302's I have are orange, sounds like someone repainted it.

Looks legit to me. Oddly I've found the opposite on Echo labeled saws that have hints of yellow under the orange, unless it's primer, but I don't recall ever seeing yellow primer. This 702evl I bought a few months back has yellow showing under the orange in places. You can see it best around the recoil housing where there's some paint rubbed off.20240127_122612.jpg

Guess I should add, there's also the Sears Craftsman "Mustard Yellow" saws, I owned the 302 version several years ago. Makes me wonder if some of either the JD and Sears versions were painted the yellow colors first, and if not used for those applications, if they were then painted over with Echo Orange, here' a couple pics of my old Sears labeled one.......🤔IMAG0056.JPGIMAG0057~0.JPG🤔

Many rebranded saws were painted over the original color from the factory.

Go pop the hood on a early Case IH 3294.......she aint red
