I dont know if the same applies here but high end main bearings are designed to allow small and large particles to embed within the bearing surface and not harm the crank journal. Maybe hyway is trying to apply the same technology in their top ends? Idk

Big difference between dimples on a goofball, ribbed for his pleasure on an intake port and intake/transfer texturing.

Along with seeing the cylinder work by real builders here, I also own a 250r cylinder done by a guy who has a national presence in 250r mods and support. No ribbed for his pleasure there either. Never seen ribbed for his pleasure on a single 250r cylinder from any porter in the biz
