im looking for a 192/193 that has been altered to perform better. Maybe even a 201 priced right. I find myself needing more saw (must be a top handle) to get through the heavy pine branches before the peel off and swing toward the ground still attached. I like a clean flat fall to the ground. Can anyone help me out?

I have 4 - 192/193's that took a ride from bucket to ground and a bunch of other spare parts. Probably at least 2 running saws out of the 4. I'd gladly send them to someone if they would like to build and improve one or I'll send someone a brand new one for alteration. I dont have time to attempt an upgrade or make whole saws out of parts saws.

I've done some 192 saws with good results.
Timing advance, muffler mod, remove limiters, normal upgrades for these saws. I typically see about a 20% reduction in cut times.
I am in Jersey, PM me , I would be happy to do one or more for you.
Also, I've had good results with the 201 and ms150 saws as well.

The echo 330 and 360t are strong saws. But the new 355 tes echo is a beast stock out the box and balance very nice. 192 is ok but still slow

Over there
If you want them to fall flat then under first. Use a 3 point cut to keep them from peel the bark.

Opening up the muffler and advancing the flywheel 6°-8° takes about 15-20 minutes start to finish.

I'm familiar with proper cutting technique but the 3 point cut doesn't always work on the evergreens when they have triple average length branches and large diameter. Saw pitches very easily on the under cut from the characteristics of the branch. There's a very fine line there. A faster cutting saw erases that.

SixGun- PM'ing you now.

I'm in PA. Right along the PA/OH boarder halfway between Pittsburgh and Erie.
