After much searching I finialy found a 372 to replace my makita 6421. It's a 2014 model x-torq. I just finished putting the west coast kit on it with the wrap handle and large spikes. Hopefully I can get it in some wood this weekend and see how she does. I want to shout out to @Jordon and say thanks for a great saw. Jordon is a great honest person to deal with. Also thanks to everyone that responded to my full wrap handle discussion earlier to help me choose the right handle for this saw.

Nice saw. Whatever saw you run wraps are the only way to go and real spikes.

The 357xp is one I would most likely have held on to...........did you put that 372 in some wood yet?

I have found I cut alot of 16" and under and 22-26" wood. No real need for a 357. I passed it along to a member here. Rather someone use it than it sit on my shelf so I can say I have one. But, I still miss it.

Felled a 20" cedar to for a milling project. Cut some large hickory for another milling project.

I really like this 372xp!!!

Nice VAC.

Thanks! It's just like the one my great uncle farmed with for years. Even down to the same model year. I have completely rebuilt it front to back with many NOS parts. Just need to blast it and paint it but I use it in the field alot doing light jobs. Can't really keep it clean enough to warrant a nice paint job right now!

I can certainly understand this as it describes about 90% of my wood cutting. I cut the majority of my firewood with a Husqvarna 44......16" and less. Couple weeks ago I picked up a 30" red oak and 26" hickory from the saw mill. Had to use the 372 for those. I had actually contemplated getting rid of the big saw as it had not gotten much use in the last year. Now I don't think I could........that wood was just too good to pass up and nearly filled my quota for the year.

I use my 550xp more than any saw I own due to size and power. I can swing the 372 around limbing but it wears me out too quickly.
