As @jacob j. noted it is a Reed-Prentice/Craftsman 1200b. If you could see on the flywheel side of the case, it will have a badge that will either show Reed-Prentice or Craftsman.

From what I have seen, the Reed-Prentice ones were earlier ones. I have one that was built in 1947. It was someone's lawn ornament for 20 years before I got it. It took me about 6 months to get through the rust and get it all apart. I am working on restoring it now. It is quite interesting with it's gear driven setup and the carburetor and fuel pump are something else! The one in the picture there is neat that it has a buddy handle on the bar (I have a shorter bar), on the flywheel side is a sprocket for wrapping a cord around to pull start (in case the other breaks, then you can try to start it like an old style boat motor).

If you decide to get it, I have a copy of the original 68-page instruction book that goes through saw operation, theory, troubleshooting and a very detailed IPL I can get to you. The saw uses a "scratcher" chain, so that is another cool thing about it.

There was a junky one on e-bay going for $399 with $250 shipping, totally not worth it, its been beat to crap, but it is a heavy saw at around 50 lbs. There are nine gaskets for this saw, I have one more to put into Audodesk Fusion and then I will be able to cut out as many as I need. Still working on the carb diaphragm, it has two metal plates that are riveted together and I need to figure out a way to create more of those metal pieces (might be able to use a 3D printer to make a mold where I can then press the pieces).

Since the plates were already drilled out to that size I just reused the screw and nut on my new diaphragm made.
That is a really cool idea, I will have to give that a try! I like the ability to be able to reuse it without having to punch out a rivet each time.

I have the gasket sandwich and the diaphragm material cut out, but had not punched the rivet out of the old one yet. I wonder if there is a weight difference between the rivet and the screw/nut combo and if that makes a difference or not, or if the carb would need to be adjusted slightly differently with a little more weight on the diaphragm center.
