So how does adding FI make it simpler?

FI on a saw is overrated IMO

By using a sufficently designed manifold (more strato air, less crankcase air) and by decreasing the rev treshold of the strato valve, they can use this engine also for concrete cutters.
That is what "simpler" means with respect to the patent claims.
i.e. one engine allows many applications

I mean if a saw already has a computer in mind. The fi would be simpler.

Generator in place of a coil.

1 injector
1 lift pump

No carb no needles no complicated way for the computer to tune it. - mtronic style.

No choke

Only a button to turn it off. No linkages. Besides throttle.

So overall there is less parts.
