They had some edgers on clearance it is a bent shaft edger. I was wondering if I could swap the motor from it to make a weadeater? I cant really find any engine comparisons for the weadeaters

I would think that it might be easier to swap the heads (edger to weedeater) if the connection is the same. Not sure if they have the same shaft end that would swap between the two heads. Many times the companies already think of this and do some minor change so it isn't direct swappable. Definitely worth looking into.

Looking at the specs for the two (525L vs 525ecs), they look like they might be the same, the only difference I see is the maximum RPM output shaft is 6,500 or the 525L - weed eater and 7,600 for the 525ecs - edger. Not sure what limits this maximum shaft RPM between the two.
