Dumb question sorry. I have a husky 450 and never really been. Impressed by it. I ran my buddies joncutter 5800 and it seem to scream compared to the 450. Both running 18" bars one .325 and on 3/8. I was thinking of ordering the wemars 62cc saw a d selling the husky. Is that a bad move

I'd stay away from cheap clones. If you want to sell your husky I'd get a husky 562 or Stihl 362 and a 20" bar. How much does your saw get used? What size wood?

You could do a muffler mod on your 450 and retune the carb. It will wake it up a bit.

what @ammoaddict said. I drilled a couple 3/16" or 1/4" in the front of muffler on mine. once I got it tuned, it really woke up & started a whole lot easier when hot.

Those zenoah clones not the wemars just the generic one's
were like 55.00 shipped a couple year's ago so I bought a 58cc and 62cc they were both 58cc
Actually after removing the base gasket and simple porting and muffler mods
They ran with a 455 rancher a 257 Husqvarna and a Stihl 290 I had here
I gave them to my brother he uses them all the time for firewood.
Apparently the wemars are kinda like the premium zenoah clones?
There's a bunch of YouTube vids about them.

I sell the Z-clones. Pull the base gasket, tickle the muffler, swap to a paper filter setup.
They will smoke any name brand saw that’s sells for 2 times the money. Stihl and Husky can’t beat them for 3-4 times the money.
All while being smaller and lighter to boot.

They do have a “Weak” clutch. If you keep the revs up and don’t abuse it, you will never know that. Run it dull, try to jam fist it, and you will fry them. Replacements are $10.

Check the drive sprocket. The 5800 might have an 8 tooth and yours has a stock 7 that will make quite a difference in the cut with both saws having sharp chains with relatively comparable saws power.

Sell the 450 on Fleabay or marketplace, it should bring at least $200.00. Buy a used Echo, should be able to get a nice CS-500P, CS-501P, or CS-590 for $300 or so total. Also check pawn shops. They usually don't have much in chainsaws and will give you a big cash discount. A shop near me has a decent looking CS-590 for $275.00 asking price.
