Anyone also know if there is another coil off another saw that fits the 395? Haven't dealt with too many huskys

The coil is unique to the 394 and 395 and unfortunately they are know to have problems so used ones are pretty much nonexistent.

Most AM coils I've tested have been crap but the one that came on my Holzfforma was decent. I'm yet to find a source for those coils.

Did you try one of the dukes coils at all?

I’ve compared timing, but no long term testing. The couple I tested fired 5° later than oem. Not an issue if you’re just trying to make a saw run. But if you advance the timing 8-10° and then replace it with oem, the crank won’t last

I have one here to try but I haven’t had a chance yet. Most AM coils are 10-15 degrees retarded so if it’s only 5 like Kevin says then it could be an option.

So no aftermarket used is a needle in a haystack so anyone got a good source for new? Think hl supply is the cheapest I have seen and I like to order from them probably just go that route

Try looking for a Walbro made one as a possibility.
