I gotta husqvarna 3120 early model without choke just purge button
I've put a new cylinder piston pressure tested and put a new coil on it and put a full carb kit on it and it is now doing some funny things in a pattern every time
It starts in two pulls give it a bit of throttle it burbles runs like a bag of s~~~~ then it backfires
Go to start it again and it starts and runs fantastic no tuning needed it wasn't until I looked at the chain when it's slowing down too stop I noticed the chain is running BACKWARDS

All new parts OEM
clutch has been threadlocked , as a perfect hole was cut a few weeks ago by the clutch in the cover with the bar and chain which pushed me too get down and dirty with this SOB
And i left it a few weeks and got back too it yesterday

When I restart it it does the same runs like a bag of nails then backfires and so on

Now would the flywheel have de magnetised

Any help will be appreciated

So, you had your chain on backwards? or the engine rotation was backwards?

I don't think so as 1st time starting it runs forward then backfires and next time you get it stared its running backwards

I've had that happen with the 385 when the coil came loose

When I was having a go at this saw a few weeks ago there was a cheap copy coil fitted on the saw that was a loose fit there was so much play on the mounts there where no numbers on this coil to identify it I put a OEM coil on it now
But what I noticed a few weeks ago that slipped my memory was this cheap coil was running on a different line on the flywheel than the original one
Now I have put this new coil on it's running along the original path
