Not OEM, but will cover your saw until you can find one, I dropped an uni-filter on my saw so I would not have to worry about putting a filter cover on.

I've got one of those on it now with a Uni stack. Found a factory filter and would like to try it with a factory cover for posterities sake, whatever that means.

Yeah, I went with the Uni stack because all of the crappy used filters were going for $50+ on ebay

Little head scratcher and nitpicky stuff. Mystery bar oil leak. Possible tiny, intermittent air leak. Stripped factory cylinder bolt head. Would like to have OEM brake and filter cover. It runs, just isn't tip top.
Had a leak on mine, pulled the muffler and the oil line behind the muffler was torn. 10 mins job fixed her right up!

That's what I hoped my problem was. Mine somehow keeps oiling the bar when it isn't running. Siphoning or something.
I have heard that flushing the tank with kerosean or diesel could help with all types of oiling issues. Have never done it personally but I am sure some of these gents have.

Think I flushed it with mix or something. It was very clean, as was. Recently got ahold of a more complete muffler w/ screen. When I replace it, I may flush it with diesel or kerosene. How it can go up and over from the reservoir to the oiler is beyond me. Gremlins?
It didn't do this till after it'd been piss reved 5 or 10 times.

Tank not venting? Vacuum gets created then it just starts siphoning?
Mine has vented caps and a plug where a regular vent would go. I plan on using a sealed fuel cap and adding a generic vent. Ran pressure tests on the tank a while back…all good.

Which caps did you get and do they have the the o rings/seals?

How does that setup work?
Your tank should have a little cap on top, just above the fuel cap. Remove the cap and the Echo vent assembly replaces it. You can also use a generic vent and a grommet.

Still have these??
Yup. Pulleys are $50. The recoil, $150.
unless you are building an NOS saw I would keep checking ebay for one that can be rebuilt. I got one for around $40 shipped that needed a rope and pull and the spring disc.
It restored nicely.
