Dont worry about it @rocketnorton. I guess we both will be happy men as soon as the stars align. I'd prefer to put it back stock but we'll see. I'm usually impatient but we will see how this build goes!!

not knowin what's involved in 394/5 swap. can get new 395 cyl kit here, reas. price. piston only for 394. if goin used, I think id prefer 394. only cause I know [had another] how they run.
not tryin to scoop dibz on op.
he had considered buyin mine, before getting one he has.

As stock saws, I prefer the 394. It's just got old-school torque. Modded- I prefer to have the combustion chamber on a 395 scarfed out and run a 2100/2101 piston on some pretty aggressive timing numbers. This makes a high-torque motor that will turn decent RPM.
