I live in Fairview, NC. Our communities bridge was washed away, so I had to go around and cut everyone in my neighborhood out with the only runner that I currently had/have a 025. I collected and fixed quite a few generators for winter sales but I’m letting 5 houses in the neighborhood use them and 2 outside my neighborhood. It took 3 days just to be able to get to out back way out. No water, or electric except for the generators I loaned out. Cris was kind enough to reach out to me after my post and is sending me a husqvarna 371 that he rebuilt and 8 ms170’s and told me just to pay him when I can if it even took a year. This was truly a godsend and more than my prayers were answered. Especially since the trees left cannot be cut through with my little 025. Was trying to get my other saw parts together but shipping was delayed on most.IMG_3420.jpegIMG_3421.jpegIMG_3422.jpegIMG_3425.jpegIMG_3424.jpegIMG_3424.jpeg

Tropical storm Milton is reported to be gaining strength and will be classified as a cat 3, maybe 4 hurricane soon. It's set to hit Florida on Wednesday into Thursday. Hope it doesn't cross Florida, head out into the Atlantic and mysteriously turn left into the Carolinas region...
I hope this thing somehow fizzles out and leaves all these devastated areas alone. The people have been through enough

The water will still rise 2 feet.....
The Highlander was my wifes vehicle
We had just bought our daughter a 2019 Chevy Equinox- she will be 16 next May. Her Equinox and my '21 Sulverado 2500 HD are crushed by giant boulders and timber in the gorge about a 1/2 mile from our house-
we live in a little valley between 2 gorges
Avery County NC - Heaton - between Elk Park and Banner Elk - furthermore, we live about 60 yards across from the Elk River
This Hurricane was not only Catastrophic; it was sickening- I've never in my 53 years ever saw it rain as hard and as long as it did
The water at its peak thru my yard- closer to the river reached 8' & was cresting at 10'
Fellas, pics in no way shape or form do it justice. Ive had many people see the pics and when they get there, they say "my God, this is so different than what I thought it would be"
I know.... i know.

I should note that in the pics, my truck and my daughters vehicle had already washed away
The two trucks you see are my brother's older Toyota Tundra and Dodge
His tundra was shredded by the hydraulic force....I'll post a pic later - youll be shocked

2006 (i think?) Toyota tundra
That's it, confirmed by vin (for insurance)
A gallon of water weighs what? 8.3lbs? X that by millions and millions - you get super hydraulic force - and that pushing into ancient boulders- it's bad ....
I say ancient because the Appalachian Mtns are the oldest in the world

And folks wonder why so many people are missing… imagine, if the forces did that to a truck, think of a human being…😥
I’m afraid most will never be found.

Yes. I'm afraid the death toll is much higher than what the media is saying.
