Well that time of year we get the hot tub fired up and this year was a no go. I have been doing some testing(my electrician skills are very basic). So i went into pannel and unhooked the heater leads and they tested good at 14 ohms. Going by what i found oit just dont want a reading of 0.
I pulled back off electric motor and it spins freely. Assuming its good.
Back up a bit here lol. When i first plugged it in the pump started for about 10 seconds or so then lost power. After that it pop gfci soon as plugged in.
So i tried unhooking tje heater then pkugging in and still pops rite away.
Then tried unhooking the pump motor and same thing pops rite away.
Then unhooked lights and same thing pops ite away.
So now im leaning twards the gfci plug it self. Any advice is greatly appreciated as i dont like to play parts darts.
Thanks again.

So the whole unit just runs off the 120v plug you have pictured? Since you eliminated all the loads off and it still seems to trip I'm guessing the gfi cord end is bad. You could pull the main lines(not touching of course)off the circuit board and totally isolate the gfi cord end and plug it in to see if it trips when energized. That would be a good start. If it holds you then can start introducing loads(motor, heater, etc.) One at time till it pops again. Based on what you stated already I thing the gfi cord end took a crap.

Does that GFCI plug sit out in weather? A little moisture inside would have it acting like that. I've had them go bad for that reason.

Yes the cord is outside kinda hidden between tub and wall so not much rain get to it vut still out in moisture. And it is 110v plug and play style hottub.
I think i will start by replacing the plug.
Thanks for help so far. Will try and get plug tomorrow and report back
