I had a problem with my G395 a couple weeks ago. The oil pump locked up and took out the worm gear.

I took apart the oil pump and polished and deburred the ramp and it seems to have fixed the issue.

I've always wondered if hydro locking can cause the gears to strip of the oil hole in the bar plugs.

It was definitely a burr inside that caused it. I could spin it over by hand and it would get caught up at the same place just about every revolution.
