Carb is out of whack and probably not pumping good if it's that hard to start. Ron woods has 4 or 5 of them and none are that hard to start.

I had a mild case of that with one of my old 066 Stihls. As it turned out there was a husqvarna lodged in the butterflies. Lord knows how many it ate glad I discovered it in time.

My larger Macs sit for a long time also .I don't fool with them,give-em a shot of prime and off they go .After the first light off they go real easy .

I've got a souped Stihl 038 Mag that takes ten pulls on a cold start if it's been on the shelf a long while ..After that and for maybe three days after it will fire on three on a cold start and usually one on a warm start .

I had an old McCulloch dealer once tell me it takes some where between 8 and ten pulls to get the fuel to the carb if they've sat for a while .
