I picked up a complete 576xp lightly scored piston, a 266se bottom end and recoil, a 359 needs a carb, muffler, top handle.
Theoretically they are all available but I am a damn chainsaw hoarder

I understand, every time I see a saw in my shop (or someone elses) my brain immediately thinks about getting it restored and ported.

My uncle just got an old mower like that it was in my grandmas basement when she passed.also an old snapper rider the original plant were snapper mowers were invented was in montvrde fl a little town about 20 min from me remember when the old snapper moweres had the snapping turtle head on them
