You say 9:1 is as high as you would normally go; does that apply to both piped saws and muffler saws? Do you find a specific compression ratio will always yield the same compression reading on a gauge?

That’s a lot more involved that what I did. Lol

I just filled a stock cylinder head with water, covered the plug hole with my finger. Say it was 20cc

then I took my head and roughed in the chamber, small. And checked cc, again with water. Got it to about 15cc and put it on the cylinder and checked comp. Had to open it up twice to get desired comp.
